To provide a regular forum for scholarly interaction among historians of modern China and Taiwan, the Academia Historica Research Newsletter presents symposium-style special issues and a range of topical columns containing academic talks, critical essays on the state of field, a current research section featuring news from around the world, book reviews, introduction to historical materials, etc. The Research Newsletter has published 12 issues since 2011 and attained wide readership in Taiwan and abroad. Its authors have included well-known historians and specialists from the USA, UK, Japan, mainland China and Taiwan.
